Neptun Boots is a leading manufacturer of safety footwear for both local and global markets. They produce quality PVC gumboots and safety boots for different industries such as mining, forestry, food and beverage, and agriculture, to name a few.
According to the Financial Director of the Neptun Boots, Mr. Stuart Hibbert, integration of the company’s live data became a tough problem to handle as its SKU’s grew to 3000. With the import and export expanding as well, the management of processes became challenging, too. Mr. Hibbert also added that planning is an important process to ensure they have everything they need for production as they import one-third of the materials, while the remaining two-thirds are manufactured locally.
As a solution to the problem, the company decided to implement Sage 300 ERP (formerly Sage Accpac) and AutoSimply Manufacturing and Planning Suite.
The implementation has done a great impact on Neptun Boots’ manufacturing processes as weekly reports were being generated, and data content were easily understood by the users. Therefore, increasing their efficiencies.
Mr. Hibbert also shares that AutoSimply is being used for the entire process of manufacturing. It is integrated with Gray Matrix for Sales and Accpac for Financials and Operations. They use Accpac to plan jobs to a machine level, and plans to allocate down to an individual tooling in the future.
